What is MYTVOnline 4?

MYTVOnline 4 is the current generation of Formuler's live-TV app, handling the programme guide, video on demand, catch-up and recordings. It arrived on Android 12 with the Z12 Ultra SE and Z12 Pro, the first two Formuler boxes to include it, and the home screen carries no advertising.

Formuler Z12 Ultra SE vs Z12 Ultra: what is the difference?

Picture and sound are the same: both do Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Wi-Fi 6E, and both include the backlit BT3 remote. The differences are memory (2 GB vs 4 GB), storage (64 GB vs 128 GB), software (MYTVOnline 4 on the SE, MYTVOnline 3 on the Ultra) and the price — the SE is the cheaper of the two in the CAD table above.

Can the Z12 Ultra SE output Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos?

Yes. Video goes out at 4K 60 fps in Dolby Vision, HDR10+ or HLG, and Dolby Atmos is handed to your soundbar or AV receiver through the HDMI port. The optical S/PDIF jack is there for older audio equipment; Atmos itself needs the HDMI connection.

Does it include channels or programming?

No channels or programming are included — the box is hardware only. You add the streaming apps of your choice, and MYTVOnline 4 provides the guide, catch-up and recording features around them.
