Which boxes have Bluetooth? Formuler lists Bluetooth on the Z12 Ultra, Z12 Ultra SE, Z12 Pro, Z11 Pro Max, Z11 Pro, Z10 Pro Max, Z10 Pro, Z10, Z mini and GTV 4K, so a Bluetooth remote can be paired on those models; check your box's Settings > Bluetooth Remotes & Accessories menu. No Bluetooth is listed for the Z10 Neo, Z10 SE or CC, so stay with the IR1 on those. Both Bluetooth remotes also carry an IR section, which is what switches your TV on and changes its volume.
How to pair a Formuler Bluetooth remote
- Hold OK and MENU together until the LED on the remote blinks white.
- On the box, open Settings > Bluetooth Remotes & Accessories > Pair Accessory and select the remote.
- To control your TV's power and volume, open the Formuler Remote app on the box and run Setup TV IR Control.
The IR1 needs no pairing: point it at the box and it works. Its learning keys copy the power and volume commands from your TV remote so one handset runs both.

Which remote comes with my Formuler box?
Z12 Ultra and Z12 Ultra SE ship with the backlit GTV-BT3. Z12 Pro, Z mini, GTV 4K and the BT1 Editions ship with the GTV-BT1. Standard Z10 and Z11 boxes and the CC ship with the infrared IR1.
Can I add a Bluetooth voice remote to an older box?
The GTV-BT1 and GTV-BT3 pair over Bluetooth using the steps above on boxes that offer the Bluetooth Remotes & Accessories menu. If you are unsure about your model, call us at 613-255-2702 before ordering.
Do the remotes ship from Canada?
Yes. Every remote and keyboard here is priced in CAD and ships from our Ottawa store, the same place our Formuler TV boxes come from.
