Description

The Formuler Z mini packs Formuler's Android 12 and MYTVOnline 3 platform into a box about the size of a deck of cards — 83 x 60 x 12.5 mm — that runs from a USB-C power cable and connects over Wi-Fi. Dreamlink Store ships it from 1807 Carling Avenue in Ottawa to every province and territory, and the price on this page is in Canadian dollars.

Why choose it?

Don't let the small size fool you. The box streams compatible 4K HDR content on a Realtek RTD1325 quad-core processor with 2 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 8 GB of storage, and it runs the same MYTVOnline 3 media-viewing client found on Formuler's larger Android boxes. Embedded Widevine Level 1 DRM supports protected content in compatible apps; it does not guarantee HD or 4K playback in every streaming service. The included GTV-BT1 Bluetooth voice remote controls the box and your TV from one handset.

Z mini vs Formuler Z10 and Z11 Pro

This model is the newest and smallest of the three, with Android 12 and MYTVOnline 3, but it has no wired network port. The Formuler Z10 (Open Box) runs Android 10 with MYTVOnline 2 and adds a 100 Mbps Ethernet port and the IR1 remote, while the Formuler Z11 Pro runs Android 11 with MYTVOnline 3, 16 GB of storage and Gigabit Ethernet. If your TV sits next to the router and you want a cable, choose the Z11 Pro; if you want the tidiest box for a bedroom or cottage TV, this is the one. Frequently asked questions

Does the Formuler Z mini have an Ethernet port?

No. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (AC 2x2) only. Streaming performance depends on Wi-Fi coverage and your internet connection. If you need a wired connection, look at the Formuler Z11 Pro or Z10 instead.

Does it support Dolby Vision?

No. The box supports compatible 4K content at 60 fps with HDR10+ and HLG. For Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, compare the Formuler Z12 Ultra and Z12 Ultra SE.

Does Widevine L1 guarantee HD or 4K in every streaming app?

No. Widevine DRM support is not the same as certification by Netflix or another streaming service. App availability, playback resolution and HDR depend on the provider's support for the device, the app version, your subscription and the content. Check your provider's supported devices before ordering for a particular streaming app; the receiver's maximum 4K output is not a promise of 4K playback in every service.

Which remote comes with it, and how do I pair it?

It ships with the GTV-BT1, a Bluetooth and infrared voice remote with a silicone cover. Hold OK and MENU together until the LED blinks white, then go to Settings > Bluetooth Remotes & Accessories > Pair Accessory. TV power and volume are set up in the Formuler Remote app under Setup TV IR Control.

Is the Z mini a good second-TV box?

Yes — that is exactly where it shines. It is powered over USB-C, needs no network cable, and runs the same MYTVOnline 3 app as the bigger boxes, so a second room or a cottage TV gets the same guide, catch-up and recording features. You add your own IPTV or streaming service; no channels or subscription are included.

How much is the Formuler Z mini in Canada?

The current product price is shown on this page in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown at checkout. Orders ship from Ottawa, so deliveries within Canada have no cross-border import duties. Deliveries outside Canada may incur import taxes, duties or brokerage charges; see our Shipping Policy.
