Formuler makes some of the best-regarded Android streaming boxes you can buy in Canada — and two models sit at the top of the lineup: the Formuler Z12 Ultra ($359.99 CAD) and the Formuler Z11 Pro Max ($249.99 CAD). Both are in stock at Dreamlinkstore.com, priced in Canadian dollars and shipped from Ottawa.
So which one deserves a place under your TV? Here's the full breakdown.
The quick verdict
- Choose the Z12 Ultra if you want the latest and greatest: Android 12, 128 GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E, Dolby Vision, and the backlit GTV-BT3 Bluetooth voice remote.
- Choose the Z11 Pro Max if you want flagship-level performance for less money: the same processor and 4 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6, and MYTVOnline 3 — for about $110 less.

Performance and software
Both boxes run the same Realtek RTD1319C chipset with 4 GB of RAM, so day-to-day performance — menus, app switching, 4K playback — feels equally snappy. The Z12 Ultra ships with the newer Android 12, while the Z11 Pro Max runs Android 11. Both run Formuler's MYTVOnline 3 software with recording and timeshift support.
Picture quality: does Dolby Vision matter?
This is the Z12 Ultra's biggest advantage. If your TV supports Dolby Vision, the Z12 Ultra delivers noticeably richer contrast and colour. If your TV tops out at HDR10, the Z11 Pro Max's picture is essentially just as good — and you'll pocket the savings.
Storage: 128 GB vs 32 GB
The Z12 Ultra's 128 GB of internal storage is four times what the Z11 Pro Max offers, with room for far more apps and recordings. Both support microSD expansion, but if you install a lot of apps, the Ultra saves you from juggling storage.
Remote control
The Z12 Ultra includes the premium GTV-BT3 backlit Bluetooth voice remote with programmable keys — a genuine upgrade for dark living rooms. The Z11 Pro Max standard edition ships with the GTV-IR1 remote, which is perfectly functional but not backlit.
Price and value in Canada
At Dreamlinkstore.com, the Z12 Ultra is $359.99 CAD and the Z11 Pro Max is $249.99 CAD — both with 15-day returns and support from our Ottawa team. The $110 gap buys you Android 12, Dolby Vision, 4x the storage, Wi-Fi 6E, and the better remote.
